DIY bridal makeup and products for a flawless makeup finish

Here are some of the products and tips for re-creating this look on this gorgeous bride....

Preparation - night before:

The night before the bride exfoliated her face with a mixture of bi-carb soda and cetaphil cleanser (mix the two until it forms a paste). This leaves the skin smooth and exfoliated. Follow this by a night cream of choice.

Preparation - morning of:

The bride skipped using a moisturiser in the morning and avoided any SPF creams which can make your complexion look distorted in flash photography.

You don't want too many products underneath your makeup so it can adhere properly so I used the Smashbox Photo Finish Primer instead of a moisturiser to prime the face.

Foundation: Believe it or not it is Revlon Colorstay Foundation in Fresh Beige - a fabulous product with staying power and it won't break the budget either.

This was followed by Pur Minerals 4 in 1 mineral makeup in Tan - fabulous product that I use in lieu of a translucent powder as it gives even greater coverage.

Eyeliner: Stila Kajal Liner in Onyx - the best eyeliner for the waterline! Bobbi brown gel liner on the top eye line.

Concealer: Bobbi Brown Corrector in Peach - works sooo well for dark circles and if you have had trouble sleeping the night before :)

Eyeshadow primer: Two Faced Eye Shadow Insurance - helps the shadow last all day long.

Eyeshadow: Inner eye  - MAC shadestick in Beige-Ing, MAC Satin Taupe (eye lid and under the bottom lash line), MAC Black Tied (outer corners of the eye), MAC Grain (crease area) and you can use any shimmery light shade on the inner corner of the eyes.

Black Tied

Mascara: Mirenesse - great for the wedding if your planning to shed a tears - this Mascara won't run and will only come off in "tubes" under running warm water!

Lipstick: MAC lipstick in Syrup

Lipgloss and liner: Mirenesse (light pinky colour - any one will do)

Highligher: MAC Minneralize Skinnfinish in Soft and Gentle
Use this to highlight the upper cheek bones for a luminous glow! Love this product!

Blush: NARS Angelica
Looks bright pink and glittery but it goes on delightfully on the apples of the cheek.

Bronzer and Contour: NARS Laguna
